Omarion‘s new EP, ‘Care Package 2,’ arrived last week, but the R&B singer isn’t taking a break from the studio just because he’s busy promoting this project. He’s been hard at work on his upcoming LP, due next year. Besides bringing back a sense of romance on the effort, he’s also collaborating with some big names.

“I’m working with Eric Hudson, who did ‘Entourage’ [with me],” he reveals to The Boombox. “And James Fauntleroy [II], who just did one of my new favorite songs with Jay Z and Beyonce, ‘Part II (On the Run).’ James is also a good friend of mine so I’m doing that. But also, I’m currently and still supposed to get in the studio with Pharrell, and I hope that works because I know he’s really busy.”

While there’s no firm release date for the album, Maybach O was more than happy to share where he’s at in the recording process.

“I still am recording,” the 28-year-old says. “This is what we like to call the magic time, and that’s toward the end of the album and where you really get into your stride. You record records that you think are cool, and then it’s like you record 20 or 30 songs and start to hear your body of work. Then you take you, and then you add to. And that’s where I am now where I’m in the last bit of recording of my album, which is where I’ll probably get my title and stuff like that.”

The new LP will also feature songs that didn’t make the final ‘Care Package 2′ tracklist. Overall, Omarion is looking forward to showcasing his maturity and evolution on the project. Plus, being on the go once promo ramps up isn’t a bad deal either.

“I can’t wait for people to hear [the album] and just to get into that TV, performance in the morning, radio after,” he exclaims. “I’m ready for that. It’s what my life has been built on.”

Last week, Omarion stopped by FADER offices to play his new CP2 mixtape and tracks from his upcoming full-length, due next year.

After telling about auditioning for a James Brown biopic, he threw down his light load: intensive healing chapstick, a Self Made 3-promoting phone, some folded 100s and snacking almonds.

Omarion bares his emotions on the cathartic second track off Care Package 2, “Leave You Alone.” “I guess I got to leave you alone / I got to leave you, yeah,” he softly croons, much to the displeasure of his female fans. The sluggish bass and airy synths wouldn’t sound out of place on fellow panty-dropper Nothing Was the Same.

In addition to this new jam, Maybach O has also unveiled the tracklisting to Care Package 2, which will feature appearances from Nipsey Hussle, Casey Veggies and Audio Push. The project arrives tomorrow (November 5).

One of the best aspects of music is that it’s ideal for multitasking activities. You can do just about anything while listening to your favorite tracks, and in some cases music can even give you the boost you need to perform a job or hobby better – after all, we’ve all heard of the benefits of a perfect workout playlist.

But it’s also great to have a perfect mix set up for a leisure activity, such as online gambling. This is a pretty private activity, consisting of you, your computer screen, and whatever cash you have on the line, so music can give you some welcome company. But if you’re playing Bingo at Betfair, you can afford some upbeat tracks that simply keep you in a good mood. Bingo at this site is certainly a competitive environment, because there’s actual money on the line – but with games consisting of different themes, various rule setups and jackpot opportunities, etc., it’s as much about having fun as it is about the gambling side of things. So with that in mind, here are 10 great background tracks for online bingo.

  1. Omarion – Never Gonna Let You Go – Of course we had to start with Omarion, and this s the perfect track for your bingo mix. It’s catchy and upbeat without being too in-your-face, and it’s always good to have determined lyrics playing while you’re gambling.
  2. Daft Punk – Get Lucky – If you’re looking for a currently popular hit to add to the list, this is the one. This song can almost lull you into a trance, so be careful – but what’s better when gambling than a repeating lyric about getting lucky?
  3. Jay Z – Holy Grail – Another current hit, “Holy Grail” is a not only a catchy song, but a nice background theme for a gambling event.
  4. Blink-182 – What’s My Age Again? – This has always been the best song out there for keeping things in perspective. If you lose a game, you might feel better about it.
  5. Goo Goo Dolls – Broadway – Sometimes a throwback is helpful, and “Broadway” is as pleasant a late night background track as you can find.
  6. Flo Rida – Club Can’t Handle Me – This song pretty much belongs in movie soundtracks and actual clubs, but it’s undeniably upbeat and inspires a positive, carefree mood.
  7. M.I.A. – Paper Planes – Has any song in the last 10 years been better for inspiring carefree leisure?
  8. Wiz Khalifa – Roll Up – Catchy, casual, and covering topics from spending money to being reliable, it’s great background music.
  9. John Mayer – Who Says – It’s partially a song about doing whatever you like on your own time, so it fits with online gambling.
  10. The Killers – Runaways – A band often associated with Vegas, The Killers have a pretty pensive, deep song in “Runaways,” and the lyric “let’s take a chance, baby we can’t lose” is as good as it gets for gamblers.
